      Ciao tutti,

Should I include 300 characters for all my customers' page meta descriptions? Some colleagues told me about this but I'm not really sure.

      Thanks in avance

      Marco

              Hello Marco,

All has been explained recently by Rand a couple of days ago. Yes, meta description limits are larger now (around 300).

SEO and auto login with redirect

Hi, we have a site where user we know (cookie-based) is automatic redirected to private internal page. Unknown guests are staying on the page google search sent them. The redirect is done with a 302 to the private page. When I examine organic search and landing pages in analytics I see that more than 50% of the landing pages are private pages (inaccessible for the google-bot). This is because analytics does not register the redirecting page, just the target page. Is this harmful to SEO that so many users are redirected to other pages, or is this data not available to google-bot. The google bots is not redirect since they do not have the correct credentials. Do chrome or analytics send such data back to Google search? Is better to manipulate analytics page track call to use the address of the redirecting page? Or maybe skip to redirect, and just render the private content on the orginal page?

Review rich snippet with reviews hosted on customer feedback company's website?

Is it possible to enable rich snippets for reviews that are not visible on the page in question? A restaurant's Wordpress website mentions the average rating but the actual customer feedback and reviews are displayed on a page on the website of the feedback company. Would it be enough to implement a small widget (displays star rating, number of reviews and links to the review page) and add microdata/J-SON to convince search engines that the reviews are legit? Thanks in advance! Bas

Please review page for on page SEO

I'm working on an adult dating site review blog and am hoping to build links to the category pages. It's a wordpress blog so the posts are categorised by topics. However can you tell me if there is enough content on the page for google to identify what the page is about? The problem is that the content of each category pages is pulled from the posts. What I think is needed is some static text on the page 2-300 words that use the keyword. Here's an example of a page targeting the keywords 'online dating'. http://www.top-10-dating-reviews.com/category/online-dating/
[editor's note -- thumbnails on site may not be appropriate for some workplaces] Will the page rank like this if there are a good amount of authorative links or does the page itself need work?

How to best use our blog posts for SEO?

My company recently created a WordPress hosted blog.  It is hosted completely separate from our company site.  The primary domain for the blog is blog.mydomainname.com, but we immediately created a folder within our company website for www.mydomainname.com/blog that has a reverse proxy to the blog itself. I'm curious though if we should consider taking the content from the blog posts and re-creating that within our company website as well?  The blog posts are very good SEO rich content, and we always struggle to find new content to put on our company website as it is already. Would like to get some folks thoughts on this. Thanks!

Landing Pages for Generating Leads - Must They Be Optimized for SEO?

Question about landing pages: There are landing pages created just for classified advertising. They are stand alone pages. And, are not linked to website (although one can
get there via the url) The purpose of these pages is to generate leads. They are keyword rich in title, head and content Content varies, only by 30% Should those pages be optimized like websites? They have a nofollow tag, is that enough? Thank you for taking the time to answer. Peggy

Better for SEO to use a hyphen in the name of a website to break up text?

To maximize SEO, would it be better to use a hyphen between two words in the name of a website? For instance, www.londonparis.com or www.london-paris.com. Would it be OK to use www.LondonParis.com Many thanks in advance, Ricardo
